Whether you have a few days off or a couple of weeks, Spring Break is a special time for families to slow down, spend time with each other and celebrate the changing of seasons. The days are a getting a little longer, and the signs of early blooms and birds singing all around are bringing cheer after the Winter season. Of course, like you, we really miss travelling at this time of year! Unfortunately, now is not the time to travel, however there is great news for Langley residents! The Township of Langley is full of opportunities to keep you engaged over the coming weeks. We’ve curated some daily itineraries for the upcoming Spring Break, and we’re positive you could have the best staycation ever!

SPRING BREAK

There are several communities within the Township of Langley offering fun entertainment, shopping opportunities and dining experiences. You may want to follow along day by day, or just pick a few and create your own itinerary. Whatever you decide we hope you have a lot of fun building memories with your loved ones!

MONDAY: FORT LANGLEY
Start your day off in Fort Langley with a delicious breakfast at Wendel’s Bookstore & Café, then wander on over to Fort Langley National Historic Site, where you can climb the bastions and learn more about the vintage village. Next up, refuel at Little Donkey Food & Drink, here you will find the best burritos around! After that, take some time to stroll through the charming shops, and then take a photo family photo at the historic CN Station. Don’t forget to pick up a treat from Maria ‘s Gelato while you’re out exploring. For dinner, why not check out the Rail and River Bistro? After your busy day, we think you’ll be ready to settle into your cozy room at the Fort Langley Bed and Breakfast.

TUESDAY: WALNUT GROVE
Did someone say donuts? It’s okay, go ahead, it’s Spring Break! Besides, the folks at Gourmet Donuts & Coffee make their donuts from scratch every morning so how can you say no? Okay, are you ready for a round of golf at the always scenic Redwoods Golf Course? Now just in case you’re feeling guilty about those donuts you can let that go, you’re going to have an extremely delish and healthy lunch at Down 2 Earth Plant Parlour. After lunch for fun check out Beach Basket Giftware, you are sure to find a fun souvenir or gift to commemorate your staycation in the Township! Ready to bounce? Extreme Air Park offers a massive 42,000 sq/ft of jumping fun and then the folks at The Italian Osteria & Cheesebar will be ready for you once you’re done. Phew, what a day! Time to rest and recharge at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Langley.

WEDNESDAY: BROOKSWOOD/RURAL AREAS
Yes, there is still more to see and do! After another great night’s rest head on over to Cravings Coffee & Bakery, a cute, locally owned bakery serving a variety of delicious bites. Alright, are you ready to go shopping? Napier’s Country Antiques will keep you busy as you stroll through it’s 6000 sq. ft of gas, oil and pop memorabilia, collectibles, furniture, hardware, a double decker bus, a Vancouver trolley and more! You will need to rest your legs after all that antiquing with a leisurely visit to Backyard Vineyards. Relax under the gazebo and take in their mid-week special including a lovely seasonal cheese and charcuterie platter before your pre-booked trail ride with Glen Valley Stables Horseback Trail Rides in Campbell Valley Park. Not into horses? No worries, the scenic trails are worth a stroll though on foot! After all that, you’re definitely going to want to order some pizza from the mouth-watering Ocean Park Pizza & Steakhouse in Brookswood.

THURSDAY: MURRAYVILLE
Wake up to fresh coffee and yummy bites at The Joy of Coffee! Next up is an exciting and educational tour of the Canadian Museum of Flight. (pre-booking required). Now will be the perfect time to take in the Spring Demi High Tea Special at Tracycakes Bakery & Café. Oh, and before you leave be sure to pick up a yummy DIY cookie kit before popping into to see the treasures at Copper Reata and embarking on the Murrayville Walking Tour. Phew, all that walking has us thinking about some yummy eats from Porter’s Bistro. The last step of the day is to get ready to enjoy the best sleep ever at the Princess and the Pea Hotel.

FRIDAY: ALDERGROVE
It’s time to rise and shine – it’s gonna be an action-packed day! First up is breakfast at the Brick Alley Bistro. Alright, now let’s go shopping! The Historic Otter 248th Trail is your source for everything country and farm fresh. Continuing with the country vibe, stop into Bob’s Bar and Grill for a delicious lunch before visiting the Greater Vancouver Zoo. You are going to have so much fun as you learn about wildlife conservation, plus be sure to check out their newly opened shop, Grizzly Gifts. Are you thinking about dinner yet? We are! The Fox & Hounds Pub and Restaurant is the place to be for yummy eats. Last, but not least, take in a movie at the lower mainland’s only drive-in theatre, Twilight Drive-In. We bet you’re ready for your pillow now, Comfort Inn & Suites or the Best Western Plus Country Meadows is going to be your new best friend after your busy day!

SATURDAY: WILLOWBROOK/WILLOUGHBY
Not ready to go home yet? Great! We have one last day planned for you to enjoy the sights and bites of Langley! Mattu’s Coffee & Tea will get you started with some yummy treats and hot beverages. You’re sure to have a blast swinging some bats at Bat Cave Indoor Batting Cages, why not see who can hit the ball the furthest with a friendly family competition! How about some sushi for lunch, Noma Sushi is a local favourite! If you need one more souvenir before heading home you should check out Black Pudding Imports and DLUX Treasures. We hope you’ve had a fantastic week and feel like celebrating with a tantalizing dinner at An Indian Affair. It’s the last night to enjoy your home away from home so be sure to soak up all the relaxation you can at the Sandman Signature Langley Hotel or Sandman Langley.
