It’s a certified phenomenon! Watching a made-for-TV holiday movie has become an annual tradition for many Canadians. Last year, nearly 13 million Canadians tuned into Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas on W Network*. What you may not know, though, is that several heart-warming made-for-TV holiday movies have been filmed right here in the Lower Mainland—specifically, in the Township of Langley.

The Township’s beautiful streets, artfully appointed boutiques and charming, village-like atmosphere seem to have been tailor-made for a feel-good romance tale or festive comedy caper. That’s why many producers of made-for-TV features—return here again and again.

And now, we are shining a spotlight on what makes the Township such a popular movie-making location with “Holiday Lights, Cameras and Action!”, a series of seasonal opportunities that let visitors and locals alike get up-close and personal with the locations where so many of these TV movies have been shot.
