Porter’s Bistro, Coffee and Tea House

Porters Bistro, currently known as a community gathering place for great food and beverages, is steeped in rich history. Originally a general store built in 1888, the building has been in the Porter family since 1916 and is an official heritage building. In fact, it still features the original fixtures, floors, and cabinetry.

In 1997, it became Porter’s Coffee & Tea House, and today, Bill and Karin Buurmeester operate a Bistro and Coffee House that carries on the tradition of serving the community of Langley and beyond! They have become a well-loved spot for a soothing beverage, satisfying meal or a yummy treat. With an onsite bakery, you can look forward to cinnamon buns, donuts, scones, muffins, bread, and more, all freshly baked each morning! You definitely do not want to miss out on their cinnamon knots! You can also enjoy a wide variety of coffee and tea beverages alongside their baked goods or take some whole or ground coffee beans home if you prefer. Another must-try item on the menu is their croissant sandwich! And if that isn’t enough, they also serve hot breakfasts, soup, quiche, pot pie, Shepard’s pie, chili, lasagna and more.
