Getting Here
Langley sits in the Fraser Valley, about 45 minutes east of Vancouver and a short drive from the US border. However you are travelling, here is how to reach us and how to find your way around once you arrive.
The Main Routes In
Highway 1 runs along the north of Langley, and two exits do most of the work.
Exit 58 - 200th Street
The main exit. It drops you into central Langley and Willowbrook, close to the hotels, shopping and restaurants.
Exit 66 - 232nd Street
The turn for Fort Langley and the northeast corner of the Township.
Coming up from the south, the Fraser Highway runs through Surrey and intro Langley City, following the lower part of the community. It is a handy route if you are staying central or carrying on to Aldergrove along the Langley Bypass and Highway 10.
Buses and SkyTrain
- The 562 is your route into Fort Langley. From langley Centre it takes about 20 minutes to 96th Avenue at Glover Road, right by the village.
- From Vancouver or Surrey. Take the SkyTrain to Surrey Central, connect to Carvolth Exchange (the part and ride off Highway 1 at 200th Street), then pick up the 562.
- Carvolth Exchange is the regional gateway, with plenty of parking if you would rather leave the car and ride in.
Closest Airports
- Vancouver International (YVR). The main hub, with flights from around the world. About 45 to 50 minutes west by car.
- Abbotsford International (YXX). Smaller and often closer, about 25 to 30 minutes east, with domestic and holiday routes.
- Langley Regional Airport. Right in the community, used for private and charter flights rather than scheduled service.
Coming Up From the States
- Aldergrove / Lynden is the closest crosing. It runs on BC Highway 13 (Washington State Route 539 on the American side) and brings you straight into Aldergrove. It takes cars and commercial vehicles.
- Nearby alternatives. The Pacific Highway crossing in Surrey and the Abbotsford Huntingdon (Sumas) crossing.
- Before you set off, check live border wait times.
Getting Around Langley
- Between Langley Centre and Fort Langley. About 10 km, a 10 to 15 minute drive north on Glover Road, or the 562 bus in roughly 20 minutes.
- Parking. Mostly free and easy. Fort Langley village fills up on sunny weekends, so arrive early if you can.
- On two wheels. Quiet country roads and riverside trails make cycling a lovely way to explore.
