Accessible Walks and Parks

Gentle, well-surfaced trails with river views. No scrambling required.

Brae Island: Tavistock Point

2.1 km · Semi-Firm Gravel · Slopes Under 5%

Just across the channel from Fort Langley, this is the easiest riverside walk around, with viewpoints out over the Fraser.

Campbell Valley Regional Park

Little River Loop · Gravel and Boardwalk · Gentle Grades

Accessible gravel paths and boardwalks over the creek, with accessible washrooms and pinic tables at the North and South Valley entrances.

Fort Langley National Historic Site

  • Main routes through the site are paved and smooth, with gentle slopes of up to about 8.5 per cent.
  • A manual wheelchair is available to borrow, free of charge.
  • Six designated accessible parking stalls near the entrance.
  • An accessible, single-use, any-gender washroom with a changing table. The café washroom is accessible too.
  • Free admission for a support person accompanying a visitor with a disability.
  • Registered service animals are welcome.
  • A sensory map marks the louder, busier spots and the quieter places to take a break. Noise-cancelling headphones and a visual guide are on hand.

⚠️ Good to know: a few heritage buildings are reached by steeper ramps or a wooden stairway, and wooden walkways can be slippery when wet.

Getting Around Langley

  • HandyDART is TransLink's door to door, shared-ride service for anyone who cannot use regular transit. Registration is required, so arrange it before you travel.
