Exhibit: Hope Meets Action: Echoes Through the Black Continuum

April 24, 2024

Come for an incredible journey through the rich tapestry of Afro-diasporic history in “Hope Meets Action: Echoes Through the Black Continuum,” presented by the BC Black History Awareness Society in collaboration with the Royal BC Museum.

This groundbreaking exhibition brings to light the often overlooked and whitewashed stories of Black “British Columbians” throughout history. For the first time, witness the vibrant narrative of Black belonging, courageously told by the Black community themselves.

Experience the power of Black voices through audio recordings from across the province, adding depth and authenticity to this vital narrative. Plus, immerse yourself in thought-provoking artwork by young Black artists, shedding light on the legacy of Vancouver’s Hogan’s Alley community.

Visit the Fort Langley National Historic Site from May 3 to Dec 12, 2024, on this journey of reflection, empowerment, and hope.
