We’ve all got that one person on our holiday shopping list who’s impossible to buy for. Or maybe you’ve been putting off your shopping and now the list is getting a little long.

Either way, Langley has plenty of places to help you tackle it!

From the boutiques in Fort Langley to specialty shops, farm markets and wineries throughout the countryside, you can find gifts that feel a little more personal. Bring a friend, stop for lunch and see how much of that list you can cross off.

Spend an Afternoon Shopping in Fort Langley

Fort Langley is an easy place to spend a few hours holiday shopping, especially if you like finding something a little different.

Park the car and head down Glover Road, where you’ll find locally owned boutiques, home décor stores, antique shops and restaurants all within a short walk.

Pop into Bella & Wren for clothing and accessories, or check out Little White House & Co. for homewares and gifts. Along the way, you’ll also come across shops with locally made products, jewellery, books and plenty of other finds.

And don’t skip the antique shops. Half the fun is spotting something you couldn’t have put on a gift list.

When the shopping bags start getting heavy, take a lunch break at one of the local restaurants before heading back out.

Holiday Shopping Around Willowbrook

If you’ve got several people left to shop for, the Willowbrook area is a practical place to start.

Willowbrook Shopping Centre has familiar stores alongside specialty retailers, restaurants and cafés. With more shops in the surrounding area, you can get a lot done without driving all over Langley.

Leave a little time for the independent shops nearby, too. They can be a good change from the stores you visit every year.

Take Your Shopping Into the Countryside

Here’s one place you might not have thought of for holiday shopping: Langley’s farm shops.

Berry picking and pumpkin patches may be done for the season, but some farm stores and markets stay open with locally made products, specialty foods and gifts.

The Langley Circle Farm Tour is a useful starting point. It’s a self-guided route through the countryside connecting farm stores, wineries and local producers. Choose a few stops that are open in winter and build your route around them.

At Central Park Farms, you can stock up on pasture-raised meats and local food products. Depending on which shops are open, you might also find farmstead cheese, honey, specialty meats or alpaca fibre products.

For the wine or cider lover on your list, consider a bottle from a Langley winery or cidery. At participating tasting rooms, you can sample a few options before choosing what to take home.

Check winter hours and tasting availability before you head out, as not every stop is open throughout the season.

A Few Shops Worth Going Out of Your Way For

If you’re still looking for a gift that feels right, a couple of specialty shops are worth adding to your route.

Cedar Rim Nursery is worth a look for anyone who loves plants, gardening or home décor. Browse the greenhouses for houseplants, pots and accessories.

For the foodie on your list, Well Seasoned stocks gourmet ingredients, specialty foods and kitchen gadgets. Put together a gift basket, or look for something for the person who already seems to own every kitchen tool imaginable.

There are more independent shops to explore across Langley. Check out our Shopping & Treasure Hunting Guide for more ideas.

Give an Experience Instead

For the person who already has everything, a day out might be a better gift than another thing to unwrap.

Think a gift card to a favourite restaurant, a wine tasting, a spa treatment or tickets to a local attraction.

It’s also a gift they can look forward to using after the holiday rush.

Make a Day of It in Langley

Once the shopping’s done, there are still plenty of reasons to head out around Langley this season.

You could plan an evening around a light display, meet friends at a holiday market or book tickets for a seasonal event.
