Fort Langley Christmas Tree Lighting
November 7, 2019
Festivities begin with Santa arriving around 5:00 PM at the Bedford Channel Public Dock with a flotilla of canoes from the Fort Langley Canoe Club accompanying him down the mighty Fraser River. Everyone coming to greet Santa should gather in the Bedford Plaza near Lelem’s Cafe. For safety reasons, there will be NO public access on the ramp or the docks. Santa’s helpers will accompany Santa up the ramp to meet everyone who has come to eagerly greet him. We are encouraging everyone to bring a lantern to help light Santa’s way as he walks from the Bedford Plaza to the Fort Langley Community Hall.
For those choosing to wait for Santa at the community hall, starting at 5:00 PM you can enjoy complimentary hot drinks from Wendel’s served at the information booth while listening to the sweet voices of the Langley Community Music School’s Grades 2-6 Children’s Choir. We are also encouraging everyone waiting at the hall to bring a lantern to brighten the grounds for the celebrations. Santa will love it!
Santa will magically light the giant Christmas tree in front of the Fort Langley Community Hall at approximately 5:30 PM.
New for the Community Hall this year is Breakfast with Santa on Sunday, December 1st with all proceeds going to Basics for Babies.
