On May 6, 2011, Langley held an Advanced Sport Tourism Workshop. Coordinated by Tourism Langley. Tourism BC (part of the Ministry of Jobs, Tourism and Innovation) delivered the workshop which included several exercises designed to help assess the community’s sport development to date and to identify recommended actions for the community in order to continue to grow sport tourism. The following report includes research, best practices and case studies prepared by Tourism BC and also summarizes the discussion and work that took place at the Langley Advanced Sport Tourism Workshop.
