TWU Hosts Film Colloquium

Trinity Western University’s School of the Arts, Media + Culture (SAMC) presents an engaging colloquium talk this Wednesday. Join Media + Communication students on the TWU campus for intimate discussions with film industry professional Deb Sears, a voice-over artist. Listen to her talk, “Living the Reality of the Creative” concerning how an actor and voice-over artist balances the creative part of her work with the day-to-day realities of a film career. High school students in particular are invited to take advantage of these insider perspectives on pursuing a career in film and media. Balloholics vs Lakewood Panthers

The ABA Balloholics Senior Team is playing three home games at the Langley Events Centre in 2014/2015. The ABA features more than 100 teams throughout North America and has a broadcasting agreement with ESPN. The league provides over 1000 players and coaches with a chance to compete at the professional level. Tickets start at just $12 for adults and provide basketball fans a chance to see talented players right here in Langley.

Beethoven Sonatas

Since 1999, Kai and Catherine have established themselves as one of the most important duos in the interpretation of sonatas for violin and piano. Having performed more than 1000 recitals in Europe, Canada, and the USA, they are praised for their unique partnership, "playing under the control of a single intelligence", and for the emotional power of their interpretations. Programme includes Beethoven Sonatas for violin and piano.

Wellness Workshop Series for Seniors- Diabetes Prevention. What can you do to prevent diabetes through exercise, nutrition and health tips? Yuk Yuk's Comedy returns to Langley! Cascades Casino Resort's Summit theatre will host three amazing comedians on Thursday, February 5th. Doors open at 7pm - show starts at 8pm. World Play Day

A Stroll Through Time: Guided Walking Tour of Fort Langley & Tea

Join us and stroll through historic Fort Langley with local artist and teacher, Emilie Colbourne. Dressed in period costume, Emilie will discuss local lore and legend, while shedding light on the area's historical buildings, businesses, and people. Finish up the tour at the newly opened Blacksmith Bakery which is located on the originial site of Reid's Blacksmith Shop (Circa. 1910).
