Grape Stomp Festival & Competition

SAMC Faculty + Friends Recital Series

Join our special guests, Trio Zimrah, on a musical journey of chamber music for clarinet, violin, and piano. This culturally rich program includes the French delights of Milhaud, the Russian Armenian folk influence of Khatchaturian, and a joyous Klezmer Wedding by Canadian composer Srul Irving Glick. The trio features Vancouver-based musicians Connie Gitlin on clarinet, Laura Chenail Hough on violin, and Suzanne Klukas on piano. Soprano Alison Nystrom will join Trio Zimrah to perform Vivaldi’s "Domine Deus" and Schubert’s masterpiece, "Shepherd on the Rock.” The Recital Series, a gift to our local community from TWU’s School of the Arts, Media + Culture, is an accessible way to enjoy world-class performances on a local stage. The Dover Quartet

Considered one of the most remarkably talented string quartets ever to emerge at such a young age, the Dover Quartet swept the 2013 Banff International String Quartet Competition, winning the Grand Prize as well as all three Special Prizes. LCMS is fortunate to have them as part of their winner's tour to B.C. Gold Rush Murder Mystery Dinner

The year is 1858. Ten days after British Columbia is proclaimed a colony, you and your companions – yearning for a better life – decide to go north and claim your stake in the Gold Rush. At the cusp of adventure, you arrive at the gates of Fort Langley planning to celebrate your new life and prospective wealth, when everything goes awry. A festive evening takes a dark turn as murder strikes in the birthplace of BC. Worst of all, you are suspect until you can prove otherwise!
