Milner Village Winter Market

TWU Chamber Music Night

On November 26 at 7:30pm, Trinity Western University's School of Arts, Media + Culture (SAMC) will present the intimate Chamber Music Night featuring the piano, violin, and cello performing all four movements of Johannes Brahms’ Piano Trio No. 3 in C Minor, Op. 101. The piano trio is coached by Vancouver Opera violinist Heilwig von Koenigsloew. Under the direction of SAMC Music professor Jon Thompson, the SAMC Renaissance Singers will perform the 16th Century Missa Pange Lingua, one of the most famous mass settings by Franco-Flemish composer Josquin des Prez. Big Kahuna BC High School Boys Volleyball Championships

The Big Kahuna BC High School Boys Volleyball Championships will be held November 26 to 29 at the Langley Events Centre. The four-day event features a total of 36 BC boys teams, 20 in AAA and 16 in AA.

At the cusp of adventure, you arrive at the gates of Fort Langley planning to celebrate your new life and prospective wealth, when everything goes awry. A festive evening takes a dark turn as murder strikes in the birthplace of BC. Worst of all, you are suspect until you can prove otherwise! Join us for an evening of intrigue with Fort Langley's brand new event Gold Rush Murder Mystery. Experience the thrill of solving a mystery in the exact location where BC was proclaimed a colony. The event includes a hearty meal that would delight the stomach of the hungriest gold miner, the opportunity to get dressed into select period costume pieces, as well the chance to win prizes for the most convincing performance and best costume.

SEASON OF DREAMS

The Langley Community Chorus presents our 23rd annual Christmas Concert titled "Season of Dreams". Our Director Anita Comba has selected a wide range of seasonal music to present to you. We will be performing, in Latin, four movements of the famous and stirring Gloria in D-major by Antonio Vivaldi. Other selections include Candle in the Night; Song for a Winter's Night; December's Keep; Breath of Heaven; our beautiful title song Season of Dreams; plus several well known traditional Carols. On the lighter side we will sing the popular I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas. TWU Jazz Night

December 3
The ever-popular Jazz Night, presented by Trinity Western University's School of Arts, Media + Culture (SAMC), returns on December 3 at 7:30pm. To kick off the evening, the new SAMC Jazz Quintet makes an encore appearance after their debut at the Township of Langley’s Until Everyone Comes Home. This fun, retro ensemble is gearing up to perform in SAMC’s swinging spring musical, The Drowsy Chaperone. Joining them onstage is songbird Charlotte Elgersma, the musical’s leading lady. Closing out the night is the SAMC Jazz Combo, directed by Tony Gallo. Their program encapsulates the music of the ‘60s and early ‘70s including artists such as Wayne Shorter, Chick Corea, Freddie Hubbard, and Herbie Hancock. Beethoven Sonatas

Since 1999, Kai and Catherine have established themselves as one of the most important duos in the interpretation of sonatas for violin and piano. Having performed more than 1000 recitals in Europe, Canada, and the USA, they are praised for their unique partnership, "playing under the control of a single intelligence", and for the emotional power of their interpretations. Programme includes Beethoven Sonatas for violin and piano.
