Tourism Challenge 2023

This is our time to reignite the energy and enthusiasm for our local Tourism community! Let’s get ready to welcome our guests and share with them all that our communities have to offer.

We want our friends, family and visitors to feel excited about visiting our local attractions, staying at our hotels and supporting local businesses when they explore our neighbourhoods and the nearby communities.

Your ticket offers you unique opportunities to explore and discover our local community.

So, get out here, have fun, and don’t forget to share your visit with us #LangleyFresh!

Scavenger Hunt: April 22 – May 31, 2023

Visit our incredible attractions and get a chance to earn 2 stamps at each location.

1) Fort Langley National Historic Site – experience the early West Coast fur trade in Fort Langley and stand in the spot where BC was proclaimed a British colony in 1858. Explore the scenic fort, built by the Hudson’s Bay Company in 1827 where fur traders once exchanged furs, salmon and cranberries with Indigenous communities. You will have an opportunity to collect 2 stamps at the front desk during your visit.

2) Greater Vancouver Zoo – see the rescued, donated, and orphaned animals. The mission of the Zoo is to inspire appreciation of the ecosystems and support conservation efforts by engaging the community. Discover the sights and sounds of 140 species on 120 acres in the heart of the Fraser Valley. You will have an opportunity to collect 2 stamps at the front desk during your visit.

Neighbouring Community: The Historic Otter 248th Trail

The Historic Otter 248th Trail was named after the verbal battles between the misters Beaton & Bourgane in the 1890’s where it was divided into three sections. Today, the Trail is filled with unique experiences from 72nd Ave to 0 Ave. You will get to witness everything country and farm fresh; a winery, brewery, waffle bar, shops with fresh locally grown and produced items, and Alpacas in real life!

Capture three images of three different businesses along the Trail. The list of businesses on the Trail can be found HERE.

You can choose to either stop by at JD Farms Specialty Turkey or Kensington Prairie Farm to show the staff your three images to collect 3 stamps.

* JD Farms Specialty Turkey will be offering 10% off your purchase during the challenge, excluding turkeys.

You have the opportunity to earn up to 7 stamps when you visit the Township of Langley during the Tourism Challenge! Feel free to reach out to us at info@tourism-langley.ca if you have any further questions.
