Valentine’s Date Ideas in Langley, B.C.

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner…. Or more like this weekend! If you haven’t thought of anything yet, we have a couple of date ideas that not only work for Valentine’s Day but for all year round. Whether you are going on a first date, engaged or married, these dates work for any one.

Take a romantic stroll along the Fort to Fort trail

Langley has some great trails to discover. What’s better than taking a stroll on the Fort to Fort trail? You get beautiful views of Mount Baker on a clear day, you feel surrounded by nature and forest on the Houston trail but you also get to walk along the Fraser River! You can bike, walk or run on this trail. Maybe take your sweetheart and your dog along with you. Don’t forget to stop by the site of the very first fort in Langley before it was relocated to its current site!

Winery tours

Langley has 6 great wineries to choose from. Why not plan a romantic wine tasting for your loved one. The Campbell Valley Wine Route is made up of 4 wineries for your tasting pleasure. Try out the Bubbles at Backyard Vineyards, Township 7’s reds, Chaberton Estate Winery’s award winning Bacchus and don’t forget Vista D’oros D’oro or tasty preserves. The Fort Wine Co and Krause Berry Farms & Estate Winery offers you fruit wines to try. Saddle up in Krause Berry Farms & Estate Winery’s tasting room for a great tasting experience or look over cranberry bogs while you sip at Mighty Fraser Cranberry Winery or their enjoy their array of Desert Wines.

History or Aviation Buffs

Is your sweetheart a history buff or one who enjoys the thrill of aviation? Fort Langley Historic Site gives you a chance to step back into a Fur Trading fort. Witness barrel making demonstrations or watch a live blacksmith demonstration too! Make sure to walk on the Bastions Gallery for views of the Fort walls. If they enjoy aviation, try out the Canadian Museum of Flight at the Langley Airport. They have a wide range of aircrafts on display, from the Harvard II, Conair Firecat and Struchen Helicopter to a range of engines you can look inside. Your aviation buff will love a walk around the hanger.

 

Breweries

Trading Post Brewery offers you a look inside the production of craft beers. It also offers you a cozy tasting room for you to enjoy a flight of their beers. The second brewery is Dead Frog, their brewery is located in Walnut Grove. They offer up tours on Saturdays for you to get a sneak peek into what goes into their beers! Try out some of their award winning beers and seasonal ones too. Make sure to book ahead to secure your spot.
