Heritage & Culture

With international interest in the region growing the British quickly moved to proclaim the Crown Colony of British Columbia. The “Big House” at Fort Langley provided the background for this official ceremony. 150 years later the walls of this historic fur trading post still stand as a reminder of Langley’s proud heritage.

Visit the Fort Langley National Historic Site, the place where it all began and watch as costumed interpreters demonstrate the pioneer way of life. Explore the multi-cultural influences that shaped Langley into the community it is today at the many museums and galleries.

Halloween Events & Traditions

Categories: Activities & Recreation, Agritourism, Heritage & Culture, Wine & Food

Halloween is a time to dress up as your favourite character. Costumes range from a Disney Princess, Superhero to a Minion. It is also a time to get scared out of your skin from the haunted houses you go to or scary movies you watch! As I little girl, I always loved dressing up. For a couple years in a row, I was a black cat. Why two years in a row as a black cat? I just loved being a black cat so why not wear it as many Halloween’s as possible!
