With international interest in the region growing the British quickly moved to proclaim the Crown Colony of British Columbia. The “Big House” at Fort Langley provided the background for this official ceremony. 150 years later the walls of this historic fur trading post still stand as a reminder of Langley’s proud heritage.

Visit the Fort Langley National Historic Site, the place where it all began and watch as costumed interpreters demonstrate the pioneer way of life. Explore the multi-cultural influences that shaped Langley into the community it is today at the many museums and galleries.

26th Annual Christmas in Williams Park

Christmas in Williams Park is an annual event that takes place in Langley and sees families enjoying the beautiful light displays year after year.  The event is completely run by volunteers who spend countless hours setting up the display which takes place in Williams Park, located at 6595 238 St.  The Society who runs the event is moving towards total environmentally friendly energy use, so most of the lights you’ll see are LED’s.
