Can you believe that Spring Break is only 2 weeks away? I loved Spring Break, a chance to take time off of school and focus mostly on dance and competitions. It allowed me to sleep in and hang out with friends. If you are planning a staycation this Spring Break, we have a great list of camps to keep your kids entertained! Make sure to book them as early as you can as the camps fill up very quickly.
Do you have a history buff in the making? Head to Fort Langley National Historic Site for two themed camps over Spring Break! From March 14th– 18th kids can enjoy FortCraft Camp! With Minecraft video game in mind, kids can pan for gold, fashion tools from stone and try their hand at blacksmithing, carpentry techniques and strike flint and steel to make a fire! The following week, March 21st– March 25th, kids can step back into the Gold Rush for a fun themed camp. Dress up as a prospector, sign a gold license, and see if they can strike it rich!
Has your child wanted to run away and join the circus? The Circus Lab right here in Langley, offers your kids a chance to experience how Cirque de Soleil performers train and practice. Kids can try trapeze, unicycle, trampoline and so much more! This year they have added a stunt camp for ages 9-19. Learn the basics of stunt work, tricks and fighting! The Circus camps run from March 14th – 18th and March 21st – 24th, with full day and half day camps available for all ages.
Is your child a budding green thumb or farmer? Join Laurica Farms and Glorious Organics for a fun farming camp! This camp runs from March 14th– 18th and is a full day of farming fun, for ages 5 and up. They will learn the basics of farming, outdoor activities and don’t forget the farm animals! Make sure to book very soon, as only limited spots are available.
If you child enjoys racing or wants to learn about cars, send them to Fast Track Indoor Karting Spring Camp! This 3 day camp (Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays) offers kids a chance to learn about racing, develop the basic mechanic skills and race theory. Kids 16 and under can attend the camp and will be broken up into height requirements for the different tracks! This full day camp will give your kids a great idea of what racing feels like.
Is your child in love with animals or fossils? Join the Greater Vancouver Zoo for the very popular Jr. Zoologist. This week long camp, gives kids the opportunity to learn about dinosaurs and fossils to the creatures of the ice age. From dinosaur themed days to train rides, kids won’t want to leave! The camp runs from March 14th– 18th and is great for ages 7-12. The camp is offered all week but you can choose from single day to multiple days.
