Remembrance Day in Langley, B.C.

Remembrance Day will be on Sunday this year. Langley has 3 ceremonies to choose from, Fort Langley, Murrayville and Aldergrove. Here are the three ceremonies and their locations.


Aldergrove Legion Branch 265
26607 Fraser Highway

The procession begins at 10:45 am. Followed by the service at the Aldergrove Legion Cenotaph at 10:50am that will include hymns, poems, messages, two minutes of silence, the laying of the wreaths and a flypast by the Fraser Blues. Stay after the service for a pot luck lunch and other entertainment at the Legion.


Fort Langley Cenotaph

Starting at 10:25 am, a procession will start at the west end of the Fort Langley Cemetery near St. Andrew’s Street and Nash Street. The service will begin at 10:40 am with a flypast by the Fraser Blues vintage aircraft team at 11 am.


Murrayville Cenotaph
21405 44 Ave

The procession begins at 10:30 am from the south end of the Murrayville Cemetery. At 10:45am a formal cermony will include poems, songs, remembrances and a flypast by the Fraser Blues. Those who need to sit are encouraged to bring lawnchairs.

Parking for veterans and seniors at the Langley Cemetery, others at the Langley Golf and Banquet Centre or along 44 Ave.

After the service, head to the Langley Golf and Banquet Centre or the United Church (216 St & 48 Ave) for refreshments.
