John Aldag

- Spent his entire career in the tourism industry working for Parks Canada
- Site Manager for Fort Langley National Historic Site
- Master's of Outdoor Recreation, Tourism and Parks and holds an MBA
- Presently a Director at Large with Tourism Langley Association. 

 

 

Laurie Braaten

- Operations Manager, Sales and Conference Services, Cascades Casino, Coast Hotel and Convention Centre
- Director of Sales and Marketing for the Coast Inn of the North in Prince George for 18 years
- Member of Rotary for 19 years and is currently a member of the Rotary Club of Langley, Central
- BC Summer Games Summer of 1990 Opening Ceremonies Committee
- Scott Tournament of Hearts Curling 1999 – Accommodations Chair
- Air Canada Cup National Hockey Tournament 2001 – Accommodations Chair
- RBC Royal Bank Cup 2007 – Accommodations Chair
- Involved in the Dance community as she has a 13 year old daughter Emily who has been dancing competitively for over 10 years
- She also has a 21 year old son Dane who was a competitive golfer and was able to represent his home club on a junior team with the BC golf association and compete at the BC Summer Games in Abbottsford in 2004
- Presently a Director with Tourism Langley Association representing Accommodations

 

 

Ted Bowman 
- Community Relations Coordinator for the Fort Wine Company
- Director at Large for the Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce
- Chairman of the Langley Agricultural Advisory Committee
- A resident of Langley for the past 27 years
- Canadian Forces reserve Officer, currently tasked with support of the Air Cadet program
- Served as a member of the Langley Regional Airport advisory committee.
- Represents the Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce on the Tourism Langley Association board of directors

- Consulting in the Tourism and Community Service Sectors
- Past Executive Director of Aldergrove Neighborhood Services Society which operates a variety of Community Service programs such as  Team Parent Support, Pre-natal Nutrition, Youth Services, Community School services, Family Place
- Worked with various community partners to enhance service delivery to residents of Aldergrove and Langley
- Past Committee member for the Parks and Recreation Commission for the Township of Langley

Jody Henderson

- Marketing & Promotions Manager with the Greater Vancouver Zoo since 2006
- Spent majority of her career involved with tourism industry and extensive volunteer work. From working on board the cruise lines, hotel sales, corporate travel to fundraising and special event planning within the non-profit world. 
- Started a consulting business in early 2005 which focuses on: fundraising, special events, marketing and sponsorship for the non-profit and local community organizations.
- Previous clients include Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver Foundation, BC SPCA, James Cameron School etc.

- Represents Tourism Langley Association as the City of Langley Representative

 

 

Susan Magnusson

- Principal of the Langley Community Music School; Overseeing operations and programs for approximately 1000 students.  The school presents two regular concert series, and offers a wide range of summer programs
- Langley Spirit of B.C. Community Committee
- Co-Director of Ceremonies for the 2010 B.C. Summer Games
- Served on the committee that wrote the proposal for the Langley Fine Arts School
- Director of OnStage Langley, a society dedicated to providing cultural space for the community
- Founding member of the Langley Jazz Festival,  
- Langley Literacy Association
- 1992 recognition from the Township for her contribution to Youth, Arts and Culture,
- 2005 was awarded the Women of Excellence Award for Arts & Culture
- Langley resident for more than 35 years

Carla Robin
-  Long-time member of the Economic Development Commission for the Township of Langley, served as Horse Industry Representative and Member At Large
- Member – Chamber of Commerce, Langley Spirit of B.C., Sport Langley, Horse Council B.C., B.C. Hunter Jumper Association
- Langley Horse Federation, co-founder and Past President
- Background in business including property and project management, construction, hotel and hospitality industries
- Diverse background with horses, including the creation and operation of  various types of equestrian facilities and organizations, consulting, fundraising, charity work. Known for expertise and knowledge of the horse industry in the lower mainland.
- Presently a Director with Tourism Langley Association representing the Sport Langley Advisory Committee  

 

 

Dave Struthers
- General Manager of the Sandman Hotel Langley
- Been with Sandman Hotels and Inn for 20 years in various positions including GM of the Downtown Location and  Regional Manager with 7 properties to look after
- Past Director of BC Hotel Association
- Past committee member of the Malaspina College Chefs Program
- Originally from and educated in Montreal and Toronto
- Started hotel career at the Royal York Hotel , followed by a few years working in the hotel business in the Bahamas

Alnoor Tejpar

- Operations Director for the Best Western Langley Inn
- Former banker and is currently a Hospitality Industry professional
- He and his family group of companies own several hotels in BC and Alberta, including 2 in Langley; Best Western Langley Inn and Best Western Country Meadows.
- Governor of Best Western International
- Past Director of Vancouver Coast Mountain
- Past convenor of World Partnership Walk, the largest walk in support of international development in Canada.
- Bachelors of Commerce degree from University of Calgary
- Fellows of Institute of Canadian Bankers
