The sun is shining and the weather is preparing us for the summer ahead! This only means that Farmer’s Market and markets are opening up in Langley. We aren’t complaining either, with the warmer winter we have had, our berry crops are growing and will be ready earlier than the regular season. You don’t have to go too far to get fresh local products for your next meals.
Starting on May 18th and running until October 12th, the Langley Community Farmer’s Market is back at Kwantlen Polytechnic University! This year the time has changed to 12pm until 4:30pm for the market. With over 40 vendors to choose from you can pick up all the ingredients you need for a picnic or your evening’s dinner. We will be onsite with I.van on opening day on May 18th! Make sure to stop by and say hi.
Head to St. Andrews Historic Church on Saturdays from 10am until 3pm, for the Fort Langley Farmer’s Market! The market has already opened for the season and runs until October 29th. They have some great vendors to choose from. Pick up your local Langley beer from Trading Post Brewing or local fruit wine The Fort Wine Co. The Fort Langley Farmer’s Market also has some great natural personal products and B.C. arts & craft vendors.
Did you know Driediger Farms Market is open 7 days a week from 8am until 6pm! Stop by for not only fresh pies from Sweet Thea, jams and ice cream, but at the end of May fresh strawberries will be back at the market! If you can’t wait that long, Driediger Farms also offers frozen berries to tie you over. Join them on June 12th for their Summer Festival! With some great local vendors on the list, it’s an event you don’t want to miss!
Located at Fraser highway and 272nd lies the Aldergrove Summer Farmer’s Market! Head down their every Saturday from June 4th until September 3rd. Choose from local B.C. products, arts & crafts and other merchants for your daily shop! Vendors include Kalala Organic Wines from Kelowna, Sons of Vancouver Distillery and 604 Food Company!
