Holiday Drinks

We welcome the Holiday Season with open arms! I am a huge fan of the holidays, family comes home for Christmas or around the Christmas break, it’s my favourite time of the year, plus you get to enjoy holiday food and drinks! Just recently, our family has started a tradition, now that mostly everyone is over the age of 19, that on Christmas Day, you have to bring a new drink for everyone to try. Last year, everyone either got their thinking caps on or like me searched through Pinterest. By the time Christmas Day rolled around, we were trying different drinks from Stormy night to Cranberry martinis!

This year, I decided to switch things up a little and look to some of our local wineries for some inspiration for my holiday drink! With my last trip to the Fort Wine Co. I picked up their different flavoured drink ideas for their dessert wines! I didn’t realise that I could use dessert wine to make cocktails?! The Fort Wine Co. has 6 different dessert wines to choose from. They are Saucy Cranberry, Finger Fruit Raspberry, Isle Queen Blackberry, Sweet Nothings Blueberry, Cold Snap Apple and Finger Fruit!

With some many recipes to choose from, I have to narrow my choice and maybe change my usual Cranberry Martini with a Finger Fruit Raspberry or Sweet Nothings Blueberry! While I decide on which one I will choose, here’s the full list of Cocktails to add into your holiday drink mix!
