Circle Farm Tour – Winter Update

Summer isn’t the only time it’s fun do a Circle Farm Tour. Winter can be a great time to visit our local farm-gate shops to find great gift ideas for the holidays, or just to spend some time with your family exploring your own backyard. Here’s an update on what’s going on along Langley’s Circle Farm Tour.

Krause Berry Farms

Vista D’Oro Farms & Winery
A wine and culinary agritourism destination, located on 10 acres in South Langley overlooking Campbell Valley Park and Golden Ears Mountain Range.  Our Farmgate shop and tasting room features our handcrafted wines and artisanal preserves, alongside orchard fruits grown on the farm. Domaine de Chaberton Winery & Bacchus Bistro
A fully operational winery and just 45 minutes from Vancouver! From our 55 acre vineyard to our production area, bottling line and barrel cellars visitors can experience how wine s made from vine to bottle.  Tours/tastings are offered daily.  Overlooking the vineyard, the Bacchus Bistro offers authentic French bistro cuisine prepared with a West Coast flair.

Township 7 Vineyards & Winery
Founded in 2001, Township 7’s acclaimed handcrafted wines are produced in small lots from the best vineyards in the Okanagan and Fraser Valley. Located in the beautiful south Langley countryside we offer tours, tastings and a variety of cultural and culinary experiences including art shows, live music and theatre, wine seminars, community grape harvest and stomp, and winemaker dinners.

Kensington Prairie Farm

We invite you to visit and tour Kensington Prairie Farm!  Home to 50 alpacas, the farm retails an array of specialized alpaca products including rovings, yarn, socks, toques, mitts, scarves, shawls, apparel and housewares.  The farm also features beef and alpaca meat products, artisanal honey, and eggs. We welcome any group tours of 12 or more (fee’s apply).

JD Farms Specialty Turkey Store
JD Farms Specialty Turkeys are certified free of antibiotics and animal bi products.  Visit the farmgate store and sample fresh and smoked sausages and ready to eat meals.  Check out our Bistro for tasty turkey sandwiches and soups.  Don’t forget your fresh certified JD Specialty Turkey for those special occasions and Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter. Krause Berry Farms & Estate Winery

Aldor Acres Dairy Centre
Rumor has it milk does a body good!  Wrangle a buddy and head to the Dairy Centre to scratch ‘Milk A Cow’ off your bucket list.  Aldor Acres Dairy Centre provides hands on Guided tours, that include learning to milk a cow by hand, make butter and feed your new bovine buddies.  Find out how milk gets from the cow to your table at this family run dairy farm.  Come visit and check out our new employee R2D2 the Robotic Milker!

The Fort Wine Company
Cranberries are more than just a healthful and refreshing fruit, come to the fort wine company and see how we turn fruit into fun. We are the demonstration farm for the Cranberry Festival, visit us daily for farm and winery tours and taste how we use cranberries to create wine, balsamic vinegars and other fruit based delights.

Fort Langley National Historic Site
Fort Langley was more than a fur trading post!  First built in 1827, the Hudson’s Bay Company operated a 2000 acre farm.  Watch our costumed interpreters craft a barrel, then join a barrel-rolling race: barrels were the container of choice for exporting butter and potatoes!  In summer, explore our heritage garden and feed the farm animals.

December 22 – January 6 Heritage Holdiay at the Fort.
Relax with family or out of town guests at fascinating Fort Langley! Make memories with family or out-of-town guests in the traditional holiday atmosphere of the fort! Start with a guided introduction of the site where British Columbia was born at 11 am, then at 1 pm warm up with some heritage hot chocolate at the Heritage Hot Chocolate Program and decorate a cookie. At 3 pm roast chestnuts on an open fire while swapping stories with our costumed guides.

Milner Valley Cheese
Welcome to our 5th generation heritage family farm and goat dairy nestled in the Milner Valley of Langley.  We process handcrafted farmstead cheeses from pasteurized goat milk produced by our herd of Saanens and Nubians.  Browse our Farmgate Shop for an assortment of specialty cheeses, goat soaps and local artisanal products.
