Celebrate the 150th anniversary of Canada’s Confederation at special events and activities that are being planned across the country in 2017! Discover the activities taking place in Canada’s national parks, heritage spaces and explore our country’s history at the Fort Langley National Historic Site.


Admission is free in 2017 so bring your family and friends to learn about and enjoy Langley’s heritage by visiting the Fort Langley National Historic site! To kick off the Canada 150 celebrations, check out a fascinating Ice Sculpture Demonstration on Saturday January 2nd from 1-2pm. Also taking place that weekend is the Vive les Voyageurs French-Canadian Festival where you can enjoy the unique folklore and culture of the voyageurs and fur traders who lived at 19th-century Fort Langley. Learn a Métis dance, attend a French 101 lesson, join our Fur Trade Wedding and fill up on delicious maple taffy and poutine while listening to live Voyageur-style music.
