This week is the inaugural Canadian Camping Week in Canada. From May 19th until May 24th, Canadian’s are celebrating the beautiful, memory filled adventure that is called camping. I can remember some of my fondest memories coming from my summer camping trips with family. With the weather remaining beautiful for the weekend, why not get out and explore what Langley has to offer for camping.
Fort Camping on Brae Island
Located on Brae Island across from the historic town of Fort Langley, lies Fort Camping. With 156 camping sites to choose from, this campground has tons to offer. Fort Camping offers a group tenting area and for those who don’t have a tent, they offer tent cabins. These tent cabins can sleep up to 5 people and offer amenities such as, bunk beds, a small fridge, and table with four chairs, an electrical outlet, picnic table and briquette BBQ. Fort Camping offers campers, bicycle rentals, a swimming pool, clean washrooms and laundry facilities. During the peak camping season, campers can take part in the themed weekends Fort Camping offers. Check out their website for all the themed weekends.
Along Derby Reach in Fort Langley, is where Edgewater Bar group site is located. This site is a 38 unserviced first come first served sites. There is a maximum of two cars and two tents per site and the cost per night is $24/night. This site is great if you bring your bikes along or enjoy strolling along the Fort-to-Fort Trail.
