Celebrating Canada’s 150th was so much fun! After Canada Day is when the events and activities start to heat up in Langley. Not only is the weather beautiful and warm but everything comes to life this time of year! Here’s only a small list of things you can do in Langley this month.

Get your hair wet at a local spray park

We’ve all been there, you don’t have a pool and getting your kids to swim in the indoor pool just doesn’t work during the hot summer months. Langley has 5 spray parks for your whole family to enjoy. All 5 spray parks open at 10am, if the weather is forecasted above 18 degrees, and they shut down for the evening at 8:30pm. Each park has tons of space for the kids to run around and tire themselves out! Check your nearest spray park here!!

Wine tours and Shakespeare

We are lucky in Langley to be in our own little Wine Country! You don’t have to drive up to the Okanagan to experience a wine tour. Langley is home to 9 wineries for you to choose from. From fruit and honey wines to your classic merlot and rose, sipping your way around Langley is easy! If you are planning on going to Township 7 Winery July 8th, 9th, 10th, 15th and 16th , you will be able to check Bard in the Valley! This year’s production is ‘Much Ado About Nothing’. Pack your own picnic and sip award winning wines while you sit under the vines at Township 7.

Bike the Fort-to-Fort Trail

It’s time to dust off the helmets and bikes and take them for a ride along the Fort-to-Fort trail. This beautiful trail takes you along the water and to where to original Fort Langley used to lay. Park in the village of Fort Langley or in Derby Reach Regional Park. The trail itself has a variety of lengths from 1.5km to 8km round trip. Pack a picnic and stop along the way or try out the restaurants in Fort Langley. Plan your route and more information about the trail, find it here!

Get groovy at Aldergrove Fair Days

Celebrating its 105th year is the famous Aldergrove Fair Days! This year’s theme is Flower Power, and runs July 14th, 15th and 16th. Check out the parade along downtown Aldergrove and head to watch the amazing Fast Draw Competition. Show your skills exhibit your masterpieces. There are 70 categories to choose from, baking, gardening, photography and so much more! Go Berry Picking

Tis’ the season for berry picking! I know some of you have waited all year to grab your buckets and fill em up. Langley is home to 3 berry farms, Krause Berry Farms & Estate Winery, Driediger Farms, and Gojoy! That’s right you heard us, a Goji Berry farm right here in Langley!! Both Driediger Farms and Krause Berry Farm, have u-picks open for Raspberries and Strawberries. Gojoy begins their u-pick on July 11th. You can’t go wrong with fresh and delicious berries!
